About Adriana Arriaga
I started my education at Santa Barbara City College and graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in Art/Design Studies and a minor in Mexican American Studies. In my past work, I have used my design and artistic skills to help bring awareness to social issues in communities. I have worked in different environments and have done projects for museums, cultural programs, and countywide projects. I am interested in combining disciplines of design, social justice, and technology in my work.
I call myself a Social Impact Designer. This means that I design with the consideration of race, class, gender and other marginalized groups. I have done work ranging from graphic design, photography, motion design, illustrations, web design, human-centered design, and UI/UX design.
